Description:
Durant Motors Inc. Lansing, Michigan assembly plant loading dock area. Cars are moved from the storage area into the awaiting railroad cars for transport to various dealerships. Prior to modern day automobile rail transport cars, rail cars called box cars were used to transport cars to cities. Each box car held two or three cars. These rail cars are from the New York Central Railroad.
