Description:
Durant Motors Inc. Lansing, Michigan wheel paint booth. Here the assembled wooden spoke wheels are painted. The wheel pictured appears to be a Star automobile wheel. Notice the marks on the front of the paint booth indicating the number of pieces the painter has painted. Early assembly line workers were payed by the piece not by the hour on some projects.
