Description:
Wooden floor paver block from the Elizabeth, New Jersey Durant Motors Automobile Plant. The Elizabeth, New Jersey Plant was built in 1917 by the Dusenburg Motors Automobile Company. In 1918 the factory was sold to the Willys-Overland Automobile Company. Durant Motors Automobile Company purchased the plant in 1922. The plant was sold in 1933 to the Burry Biscuit company (a division of Quaker Oats) who occupied the building until 2006. Several blocks were provided as gifts by the Burry Biscuit owners/managers to members of the Durant Motors Automobile Club National Meet in 2995 which was held in Wall, New Jersey.
