Josiah Dallas Dort a good friend and early partner of William C. Durant in the Blue Ribbon Buggy Company would later follow Durant into the early years of General Motors. Upon leaving General Motors in 1915, Dort started his own car company the Dort Motorcar Company based out of Flint, Michigan. Dort cars were produced from 1915 to 1924. Josiah Dallas Dort died in1923. This exhibit covers the cars of Josiah Dallas Dort and Dort Motors Corporation.
